In today's industrial field, the treatment of electroplating wastewater has always been a very challenging problem. Electroplating wastewater is very complex because of its water quality, the content of various heavy metals is quite high, and the chemical oxygen demand (COD) is also at a high level, which makes it a difficult point in the membrane concentration process.

However, the use of homogeneous membrane electrodialysis devices has effectively solved this intractable problem. First of all, the raw water of electroplating wastewater goes through a series of strict pretreatment processes, including sedimentation, oxidation and ultrafiltration. By sedimentation, large particles of impurities in wastewater can be precipitated. Oxidation steps can transform some harmful substances into more stable forms; Ultrafiltration further removes fine impurities and suspended matter. After these pretreatment, the wastewater enters the electrodialysis concentration process. In this process, the wastewater is continuously concentrated until the concentration reaches 12%. At this time, the high concentration of wastewater will enter the MVR evaporation system.

The fresh water produced after electrodialysis treatment will undergo reverse osmosis treatment to further remove impurities and harmful substances that may remain in it. The fresh water after reverse osmosis treatment can be reused in the electroplating production process, which realizes the efficient recycling of water resources. Through such a set of scientific and reasonable treatment process, electroplating wastewater has been effectively treated, and the goal of nearly zero discharge has been successfully achieved. This not only reduces the pollution to the environment, but also provides a strong guarantee for the sustainable development of electroplating enterprises.
