RCO (Regenerative Catalytic Combustion)
RCO is a new catalytic technology that has the advantages of efficient energy recovery through RTO and low-temperature operation of catalytic reactions. The catalyst is placed on top of thermal storage materials to achieve optimal purification, with a heat recovery rate of up to 95%. The key to the excellent performance of the RCO system is the use of dedicated precious metal or transition metal catalysts impregnated on saddle shaped or honeycomb shaped ceramics. Oxidation occurs at low temperatures of 250-500 degrees Celsius, which not only reduces fuel consumption but also reduces equipment costs.

The key to the excellent performance of the RCO system is the use of dedicated precious metal or transition metal catalysts impregnated on saddle shaped or honeycomb shaped ceramics. Oxidation occurs at low temperatures of 250-500 degrees Celsius, which not only reduces fuel consumption but also reduces equipment costs. RCO technology is gradually replacing RTO for organic waste gas treatment, which can reduce operating costs by 33% to 50%.
(2) Comparison of RCO and RTO technologies
① Low reaction temperature of RCO technology: The reaction temperature of RCO is generally between 250~500 ℃, with small heat loss and low energy consumption required. The RTO reaction temperature is generally between 800~1000 ℃, resulting in high heat loss and high energy consumption;
② RCO technology does not produce NOX: RTO has a relatively high reaction temperature, which converts the nitrogen in the air into NOX, and the conversion rate rapidly increases with the increase of temperature and residence time. However, RCO technology does not produce NOX;
③ RCO technology does not produce dioxins;
④ RCO has lower investment and operating costs than RTO.
