It can maintain high concentration of biomass in the biological treatment unit, greatly increasing the volumetric load. Membrane bioreactors can filter out harmful substances such as bacteria and viruses. The cutting effect of the membrane enables microorganisms to be trapped in the reactor, achieving complete separation of hydraulic retention time (HRT) and sludge age (STR), and flexible and stable operation control.
